when I get home from work i'm gonna post up some more things advertising the forum on facebook... more people might show up if the incentive of being able to vote is there

You could start a group on Facebook for it.

I dunno, I tried getting some of my friends into it, but none of them are... artsy. At least, ever since they became business majors, anyway.
I tried inviting Jina, though. She might join if I convince her to.

Also, my little brother isn't allowed to vote (obviously) but says he really likes Allison's.

Why can't your little brother vote? Haha...

Also, I'll advertise on my facebook page and my facebook profile when I get home...could get some new users...

I guess I will set up a Facebook page... thats a good plan... more people will probably join that than would join the forums, and I could keep things updated on that as opposed to spamming my own wall with advertisements

I also think we should come up with a catchy name for the weekly art competition. I think it would be more appealing to some people to vote if it was something really interesting. For example...a lot of people vote for "American Idol." Less people vote for "Politics." Maybe more people would vote for the president if it was "Who wants to be the NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES?!?"

I dunno...just a thought...

for chris and Orlando, I see both of you advertising a lot on facebook, try more to advertise for activoty in this weeks weekly challenge, than just for voting for last weeks challenge... I don't want to run into the issues of people signing up on the forum just to vote for the one they linked to from facebook.

i'm not gonna limit the voting to active members right now, but if none of the people showing up to vote stick around and become productive members, then I will... today 7 people ahve signed up on the site to vote, and only 1 of them has made a post... this troubles me


so when you advertise, mention this, but be sure to give em a link to Art battle number 2, so we can get some more enteries for the second week!

I'm going to do a better job next time, promise. I know it's crap. Also I'm going to make an effort to do what I think of as finished work before it's due because a few of these need some color work. Like the addition of color took away from the line quality and made the image flat and distracted from the original focal-points. We all should just keep an eye out for that next time.

just so everyone doesn't freak out, to keep the board clear i'm moving all of the WIP threads from Number 1 into an archive subfolder, they are still her, they are just down a level to make room for this weeks WIP threads
